About me

//about me//

I'm a passionate young artist currently developing my skills in photography, writing, performance and direction. I am based in London, more specifically at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama as I complete my degree there (BA Hons Theatre Practice Performance Art). My work, to me, is a catalogue of snapshots referencing different stages of my own story, like a retrospective photo album documenting my own experiences and mental states. However, they do not just selfishly map my own autobiographical journey, as many of my experiences are shared by many. My work attempts to document the human experience, with my most recent work most frequently referencing sex, the body, gender and identity. Having previously engaged subjects as diverse as English literature, feminism, childhood innocence and war, I use the aesthetic as the main form of realising my work, such as film, photography or live performance. As my work focusses on the autobiographical, it has recently moved to focus on the trans* experience and what it looks like. I also have an interest in sexual health relationship education, this manifests itself in my current project which is in development, queer feminist body positive porn. This ongoing project is one of largest, and is still in the first stages, however should not go unspoken. Through the documenting  of the human experiences, I aim for people to both simultaneously experience and observe. I aim to do this through the mixing of realistic and metaphorical imagery.
